Theo's first birthday at Benson Park

Where can I even begin with this handsome chunk of a boy! I've been photographing Theo since he was in-utero, so it's only natural I had to do his 1-year session, too! Check out the "related posts" for mom's maternity and Theo's newborn sessions!

Mom and dad didn't want to do a traditional cake smash since he was having his birthday party a few days later (it's probably not good to overload kids on cake, right?!) So, instead we opted for a cute, but simple, outdoor session while the weather was still nice and somewhat summery.

The smiles on this kid are unreal and he was so good I could have photographed him for hours (or at least until he ran out of snacks or I keeled over on account of being pregnant). Big brother Devin also joined in on some photos since he was turning 10 right around the corner (but more realistically because he's pretty much a professional 10 year old model). He had so much fun that we ended up booking another session "just for him" (though Mom and Theo did crash that one). Stay tuned for that blog post, coming soon!

All I have to say is I can only hope my own kid is this photogenic and allows me to take his photos! I have also learned how important Goldfish snacks are (note to future self)...
